Smoking cigarettes – Part 4 How to stop
In the first three parts of this series of articles, we discussed how we started smoking when we were young and how it helps build a psychological smoking mechanism. This mechanism begins to move beyond conscious control because smokers have long forgotten why they started smoking. The first part of the process of eliminating smoking is to use a special technique to remind you of these early reasons. The second part of this process is to investigate and eliminate the reason people smoke.
This article explains why smokers ignore the serious health consequences of smoking.
What will you do?
You’ve smoked for over 25 years. Your mother has been a smoker for over 40 years. She calls you on the phone one day and says she has been diagnosed with lung cancer. A few months after she watches her mother get worse, she steps away. As a smoker, what will you do?
If you are like my customer, you can continue to smoke!
How could it be?
If you are part of 76% of the non-smoker population, you probably think this is ridiculous. How can I tell my mother how to smoke and continue to smoke?
That’s why people simply have difficulty quitting smoking.
Psychological smoking mechanisms
This mechanism is created for most people before age 18. The average age is around 15 years old, but some people start smoking earlier. It is no coincidence that smoking begins during adolescence and identity crisis. The crisis of identity is an uncomfortable period with childhood confusion. He is not a child, not an adult. They are trying to define themselves.
Adolescence is a tremendous period of human life because of changes in the body and hormones. Everything is amplified. The emotion is strong and the world view is still exaggerated, not proportional to the child. The child wants to accelerate the process of proclaiming as an adult.
Smoking is an attempt to address the identity crisis. It is a way to declare, “Hey, I am an adult!” Adult acting is therefore adult!
Overcoming these confusion and ambiguity is very important. It is a strong motivator for young people. To apply the unbelievable force necessary to turn off the normal body and to apply the protective response to harsh hot smoke into their delicate lungs.
The fact that learning to smoke is difficult and uncomfortable is a strong defense of young people. There are numerous reasons why they should smoke. Positive feedback from friends adds to the strength of the psychological cigarette smoking mechanism.
When puberty is over and it reaches adulthood, the mechanism is in the autopilot. It continues to gather reasons for its existence. It works independently of the conscious self.
The essence of psychological smoking mechanisms
The psychological smoking mechanism freezes in childhood with all the immaturity and nearsightedness of children. The child’s emotions and worldview define that mechanism.
Children have limited visibility into death. They struggle to think about getting hurt or dying. This is why many teenage car accidents happen.
The entire topic of smoking is controlled by a psychological smoking mechanism. If you want to discuss smoking with a smoker, you are dealing with a 15-year-old, not an adult. This is why it is not so far to reasonably discuss the dangers of smoking.
Children 15 years old do not believe in health problems. 15-year-olds think smoking is an important part of their lives. They need to smoke. It is the object to be protected. When discussing the dangers of smoking, the ear has a symbolic meaning and there is a chorus of La, La, La, La. I can not hear you.
A real-life example
My client, Bonnie Ryan, has graciously agreed to accept her story as an example of how the psychological cigarette smoking mechanism outweighed the minds of adults. Bonnie’s mother died of lung cancer, but she refused to quit. It was so important to her.
About nine years after her mother’s death, Bonnie began to have problems with her lungs. At this point she decided to quit smoking. But she really did not want to quit. Bonnie Written:
“I have learned that smoking for 35 years has made my health worse and time to quit smoking.” Emotionally, I was sick of losing what I had lost smoking and I was sure that I got a lot. , I could not even imagine having no smoke in my life for the first time. ”
You will find that she is grieving to give up smoking. It was very basic and the sacred was taken from her. Something she needed!
Of course, she had heard all the health risks of smoking for years, but like most smokers, I adjusted them. She was confident of how important smoking is to her health. Seeing her mother wasting away and dying of lung cancer has nothing to do with her smoking. She did not consciously quit her decision until she started having a health problem.
I had no luck in my decision to quit smoking, but the psychological cigarette smoking mechanism at age 15 was her psychological cigarette smoking mechanism. The mechanism created by the child’s feelings of watching the world of smoking for 15 years is old and can never change its point of view. A childish way to find a rationalization that constantly ignores the effects of cigarettes and constantly smokes.
Mechanism to move
The only way a person can clear a cigarette is to dismantle the psychological smoking mechanism. This is accomplished by identifying and eliminating the reason people start smoking and why they smoke. When this is over, the person becomes a non-smoker, not a former smoker.
Eliminating the psychological smoking mechanism consciously controls individuals with all the perceptions and attributes of the adult. They no longer need to fight against the illogical nature of the child mechanisms they have created. They no longer suffer conflict because logical adult awareness has created a short-sighted, child’s theoretical, non-psychological cigarette smoking mechanism.
When the mechanism disappears, cigarettes will bloom forever. Special skills are needed and smokers need to invest time and effort. Using the right psychological tools, you can turn your mind’s amazing power into conscious control and eliminate childhood psychological cigarette smoking mechanisms. When you quit smoking ™, you return to the state you were in before you started smoking, and your body’s normal defenses against hot hot smoke in your delicate lungs start working again. Smoking is disgusting like the first cigarette. At this point, you will not be motivated to turn off the tremendous effort required to switch them off! Became NONsmoker.
